Hashashin or otherwise known as, the Assassins were medieval Nizari Ismailis of Persia and Syria. It was known as a secret order to be led by a mysterious man; the Nizari Ismailis was formed in the late 11th century and split from Ismailism which was a branch of Shia Islam.
